2016-05-22 In Firefox, one can switch tabs using Ctrl-PgUp and Ctrl-PgDown. This is a one-hand shortcut on regular keyboards but on my Think- pad X41 it is less ergonomic. As I use the Pentadactyl plugin (similar to Vimperator), I can use `gt' and `gT' as well. These however, require two key presses (backwards switching even in- volving Shift), hence they are clumsy for switching farther than to the next tab. After being annoyed by this situation for too long, I decided to- day to improve it. It took me ten minutes to figure out how and to implement it. Now my ~/.pentadactylrc contains these two lines: map x :input map c :input We ought to change more often and sooner what we we finde clumsy in our daily workflows! http://marmaro.de/lue/ markus schnalke
