2015-10-07 Today, we had power problems. I noticed first when the UPS start- ed beeping. In the beginning the power returned again and went away in short intervals, which can be seen at the network mes- sages in the logs. The router and switch seemed to have died fas- ter. Klette, the Cubietruck, proably survived longer because of the buffering effect of its power supply transformator. Edoras, the home server, has a UPS, which bridged the twenty minutes of power loss. That's how it should be. These are the logs (with some irrelevant information removed): Oct 7 16:24:55 klette kernel: PHY: sunxi_gmac-0:00 - Link is Down Oct 7 16:24:57 klette kernel: PHY: sunxi_gmac-0:00 - Link is Up - 1000/Full Oct 7 16:24:59 klette kernel: PHY: sunxi_gmac-0:00 - Link is Down Oct 7 16:25:01 klette kernel: PHY: sunxi_gmac-0:00 - Link is Up - 1000/Full Oct 7 16:25:41 klette kernel: PHY: sunxi_gmac-0:00 - Link is Down Oct 7 16:27:18 klette kernel: PHY: sunxi_gmac-0:00 - Link is Up - 1000/Full Oct 7 16:33:08 klette kernel: C Oct 7 16:56:47 klette kernel: imklog 5.8.11, log source = /proc/kmsg started. As well, I haven't set up an automatic shutdown just before the power is completely gone and the machine crashes. I should do so ... now. http://marmaro.de/lue/ markus schnalke
