2014-10-26 Some work on a Latex document today. I used and adjusted the `caption' package. With Latex (and programming languages and the like), you always have to choose between doing it yourself or us- ing packages, libraries, whatever. In the second case, you need to understand these packages first, understand their concepts and what is possible with them. And you need to struggle with the ``smart'' choices they make and with their limitations. Sometimes it's better to do it yourself right from the start, expecially if you (think you) know exactly what you want. Packages are great if you just want to take what they offer, but don't try to twist them the way you want. (The convention that latex packages should come along with exten- sive and definitive documentation is valuable. This is a sign of quality.) http://marmaro.de/lue/ markus schnalke
