Read the sam tutorial [0] today. What an enlighting paper!

Explanations written by the original authors of some  system  are
almost  always  a magnitude better than those of other guys. (And
if not, this usually is a sign, that the original  author  hasn't
understood his own system and thus it is not as well-shaped as it
should be ... or that the foreign author is really great.)
