2014-02-18 Discovered regular login attempts on my system. The login names and passwords were trivial: guest:guest, admin:admin, bob:bob, and so on. I had no fear they would succeed, even if the two- minute interval would continue for years: Tue Feb 18 15:38:09 2014 molly[3503]: 74.118.193.227 denied. First, I thought, it would be attacks for IMAP, because the IMAP server reported the failed logins, but actually, it were attacks on SMTP Submission, which uses the IMAP server als authentication backend. The IP address is blacklisted now. (I've modified a qpsmtpd plu- gin therefore.) Today, I've finally registered a Wikipedia account. It's likely, that I'll become a bit more involved in the Wikimedia projects in the future, thus it might be worth to be using an account. http://marmaro.de/lue/ markus schnalke
