2012-05-26 Linuxtag in Berlin is over. I had been there all four days. On Wednesday and Thursday morning, I had been at the Debian booth. Sadly, there were very few visitors in general. On Fri- day, I attended Ulrich Drepper's keynote and went keysigning in the afternoon. Saturday morning was reserved for work on the masqmail package for Debian. Steffen, Hauke and I were in one place and went through all the stuff to do. We did not do the work right away, but discussed what to do and how. That was better. This was the first time, I really worked on a project at a conference. The time we sat together was worthwhile because direct communication is muss more effective than email or even the telephone. Now, the actual work needs to be done, but that should be finished within one or two weeks. The Gentoo developer Sebastian Pipping recognized me from last year and urged me to finally send him the paper from ken, of which I'd told him already last year. [0] Ralf Lehmann from the Potsdam LUG said hello to me because he knew me from the ChaosSeminar talks I had given. He invited me to come to Potsdam to give a talk. Yay! My first invitation of this kind. :-) I think I'll come to their BLIT12 in November. [0] http://port70.net/~nsz/articles/turing_award/1983_kenneth_l_thompson.pdf http://marmaro.de/lue/ markus schnalke
