2012-01-18 This happens more and more often to me: On a web page (today it's been Google Code), there is a link labeled ``something.tar.gz''. In order to retrieve the archive, I copy the link location and give it to my download manager. Contrary to my expectations, the download manager retrieves only some web page, which contains a link to the real destination of the file. Wasn't it a link to a tarball? No, it only appeared to be. Could you please remember: Labels should match the contents. Why? Why do you web page builders create these kinds of things? I really do hate them! They waste my precious time. http://marmaro.de/lue/ markus schnalke
