2011-11-08 I use ex-vi as my default editor. Today, however, I was happy to have vim available, too. Ex-vi has fixed buffers (which isn't too bad usually), but I liked to edit SQL dumps with very long lines. Ex-vi's line buffer length got exceded, when one wrapped line grew larger than the screen. If needed, I could compile ex-vi with larger buffers as an additional ex-vi-big. Btw: ed managed to edit the file. :-) ... but I took vim, unfor- tunately. Seems as if this is a sign, that I should purge vim and install a link from vim to ed, instead. ;-) http://marmaro.de/lue/ markus schnalke
