One day of nothing but setting up  the  server,  named  ``molly''
now.

I started with sshd and basic login and user management.

Then I reconfigured DNS, which I still  take  from  the  webspace
provider.

Afterwards the webserver. First I tried thttpd, which I like. But
after  reading  a  lot and doing some test I concluded that it is
too minimal for my needs.  Instead I took  lighttpd.  Started  to
move some of the simple vhosts then.

In the same go, I also backed up all data  and  removed  obsolete
stuff from the webspace.

Also played with netstat(1) and ps(1).


Finally, I had been sitting all day in front of the computer. :-(
