2011-05-27 There is some ``guy'' who tries hard to convince me of Lisp. Throughout the previous years he talked to me about it several times. I'm home in the C world. I do see an equal elegance (i.e. con- sistent concepts) in Lisp as I see it in C, but, in contrast to him, I see a fundamental separation between the two worlds. Though similar concepts apply, they are applied differently. This makes them incompatible. I could find in Lisp what I do find in C ... but C already satis- fies (most of) my needs, hence I don't need Lisp too. I think it would be the same if I had gone the other way. My decision for the C world is also somehow a decision against the Lisp world. Wandering between the worlds feels wrong to me, currently. Nonetheless, Lisp is definately interesting and I'm looking for- ward in exploring it. These days, however, I'm too hooked to C (sh, awk, ...). http://marmaro.de/lue/ markus schnalke
