2010-06-13 Five days of Linuxtag in Berlin including the two-day MiniDebconf are just over. This is my summary: I arrived on Monday evending. Because the seven-hour car drive was very tiring, I haven't helped preparing for the MiniDebconf on that evening. I met henry instead and had a nice time with him. Tuesday was preparation day. I helped to build everything up; this took the whole day. I spent this evening with inne. Wendnesday was the first day of Linuxtag. I had booth shifts, helped to prepare lunch at Zille, helped to finish the MiniDeb- conf setup, and of course talked with many people. On this even- ing I attended the Debian Dinner (they really had good pizza). Thursday was the first MiniDebconf day. It was opened with a keynote by our new DPL zack. I'm happy that I could talk a few minutes with him on that day -- something like that is a motiva- tion boost. I listened to most talks at MiniDebconf and acted as camera operator for some of them. I can tell you, tolimar is really a challenge to keep in focus. ;-) I also heard one or two talks of Linuxtag. The bug squashing party on Thursday evening had few participants, unfortunately, but it had a nice atmo- sphere. Although I didn't work on RC bugs, I did work on a bug in masqmail. Friday was the second MiniDebconf day. For me it was quite simi- lar as the one before: booth shifts, talks, being camera opera- tor, talking with people. I also attended the keysigning party. Again I spent the evening at the HackCenter, trying to fix the bug. On Saturday the MiniDebconf was already past, thus I spent the day at the Debian booth at Linuxtag and with talking to people. I finally left Berlin at 18:00 after the Scribus talk. The days at Linuxtag and especially MiniDebconf were great. I was very welcome and everybody was nice, gentle, and helpful. Just to name some persons who mad the event so great: jhr, de- vil, formorer, niels, holger, abe, roland. These are the ``im- portant'' names, but there were more people improving my time in an equally important, but different, way. Above that, thanks to henry and inne for offering a bed for me. http://marmaro.de/lue/ markus schnalke
