I hate to do Windows installations.

This time it was Windows XP on a notebook with a SATA disk.  When
you  finally  find  out  about  `nlite'  and how to do the driver
stuff, you can really feel happy.  But if you had installed Debi-
an  instead,  it would have needed only 12% total time, you would
not have needed another Windows computer for nlite, it would  not
have  been  necessary  to  download tons of drivers manually from
websites you first need to find, and you would not need to  waste
even  more  hours of interactive third-party software downloading
and installing.

I really should consider to not do any support work  for  Windows
systems.
