2021-09-24 Back to the Wiley It's been quite a while -- seven months! -- since me last playing the Wiley course. (Except one round with a friend, who never played before. I played this round with my left hand. We didn't score.) Today, I had three discs in my hand: D P3, D Roc3, Star Valk. That's my currently best combo for the this course. I played two rounds: #1: With the SW wind, my Valk drives leaked to the right, leaving my with 35m upshots. First round I made the 3m putt. Second round I missed from 5m, then make it from 2m. -> 3, 4 #2: Roc3 backhand drives. First round I made it from 5m for bir- die. Second round I missed from 14m, then dropped in. -> 2, 3 #3: The standard Valkyrie long backhand hyzer. First round I hit the cage from 10m, then made it from 2m. Second round I hit the pin at the bottom from 16m, then dropped in. -> 3, 3 #4: Roc3 forehands. First round I hit a branch, missed from 14m, made it from 3. Second round my drive was on an ace line, but as it did not hit the basket, it skipped down the slope. thumbered back up and made it from 5m. -> 3, 3 #5: P3 backhand both rounds. First round I tickled some branches, leaving me 10m to the pin. Hit the band, then had 2m. Second round my drive again was on an ace line. Putted from 4m. -> 3, 2 #6: Valkyrie forehands. First round I hit the first tree. Roc3 forehand approach. Got chains from 10m but did not stick. 5m comebacker. Second round the Valkyrie forehand was perfect ... and parked. Drop-in birdie! :-) -> 4, 2 #7: Roc3 forehands. First round I made the 7m putt for birdie. Second round I missed from 12m, then made it from 4m. -> 2, 3 #8: Roc3 backhand hyzers. First round missed from 13m, then missed the comebacker from 7m, then dropped in. (The first putt was too aggressive.) Second round my drive had absolutely no skip, thus leaving my with a 14m putt that I missed. But I made the comebacker from 5m. -> 4, 3 #9: Valkyrie backhands. First round the drive was high, then a very bad Roc3 forehand upshot. Still 20m out, only layed it up with a P3 jumper. Then dropped in. Second round I used an X-step on the drive and it went straight to the second hedge row! Only 12m to the pin, but a bit blocked my a bush. It was only a half run, half lay-up for a drop-in. -> 4, 3 The rounds summed up to +1 and -1. The birdies are there, but not consistent enough to appear in the same round. There's simply too much inconsistency in my drives. My longer putts are getting better, however. http://marmaro.de/discgolf/ markus schnalke
