2020-12-13 Anger Distance Today on the practice field. I wanted to focus on the ``crash the door with the elbow'' part of my backhand technique. I also want- ed to do some X-steps (in contrast to my usual standstill/1-step throwing style). Well, the weather wasn't great. My mood wasn't great. Nothing really worked (although using the hips resulted in the best throws). In the end I was so frustrated, that I crushed discs out with a lot of anger ... and X-steps. That brought dis- tance! ;-) - MOLF: 105m, if not stopped by the fence - SOLF: 100m - Trespass: 95m - ES Teebird: 90m - Star Eagle-X: 90m - Insanity: 90m For pure distance a bit of turn and coming back helps. OLF, Eagle and Trespass have all the same flight pattern. This one MOLF throw was far! My third farthest throw yet. Getting the nose down still is the most crucial part. A loose wrist helps for distance, but pushing the nose down stiffens the wrist. I'm not sure how to solve this dilemma. Today, X-steps (James Conrad like) and anger (Drew Gibson like) gave me more distance on the open field. It was a good experience, but filming myself would help me im- prove. http://marmaro.de/discgolf/ markus schnalke
