2019-02-20 Distance Today, we had warmer weather (12 deg C) and no wind. I've been on the field to throw some drivers. It was a success! Using the hips really got me some distance. :-) After some warmup throws, I did four rounds with fifteen drivers. I had a dozen 90m throws! Some of them even beyond 90m. Incredi- ble! Right in the first round I had my second longest throw ever. (My farthest throw was a lucky one with the prime Trespass in which everything got right, some time ago. I've never achieved anything like that with the same disc, not even close.) Today, I threw my new Pro Valkyrie (175g) all four times slightly over 90m! ... all four times! It always hit the embankment at the far end of the field. (And it be noted, that the field is slightly uphill.) I.e. I got it to about 100m, four out of four times! What a success! Although that is really remarkable in its own, other throws were good as well. The more stable Star Valkyrie flew up to 90m two times as well. The 171g DX Teebird went 90m, 90m, 85m, 85m. The 175g DX Teebird also went 90m and three times 80m. The 158g Star Teebird once as well reached 90m. Even my Champ Teebird went 88m once ... on a straight line! The 171g DX Eagle-X went 90m once. The Prime Trespass went 90m once Also the BigZ Sting went 90m once, the other three throws over 80m as well! Even the F7 went 85m and also made a fine roller with 90m. What a day! So many so far throws! That's what people call breaking through a plateau. The key to the success was using the hip, i.e. stop stong-arming. Further- more, I am much more successful throwing nose-down now. http://marmaro.de/discgolf/ markus schnalke
