2018-05-22 Forehand, yay! Two rounds on the Wiley course. It was a weekday, it was morning, I was alone. The grass was wet ... ;-) After some putting practice, I went for a round. Most drives with the seasoned DX Teebird. Some with the P3. One with the Zone forehand. And two thumbers with the Echostar Teebird, which both hit trees. :-( The round started well with two Birdies on the first five holes, but then gathered three Bogeys on the second half (two tree hits and one scrub hit). Sadly, ended one over Par. Then, which some frustration, I went for another round, as I had another hour to spend. This time, I'd rather wanted to do some- thing different. Thus I went for a forehand round. All throws, except putting, to be excecuted as forehands -- my forehand sucks! To improve chances and to avoid additional frustration, I decided to play best drive doubles: Two (forehand) drives, the better one counts. Then a forehand approach and a normal putt. It was the first time I played this format, but with great success. The thing was: My forehand didn't suck at all! It was unbeliev- able: I threw great drives! Man, how was I able to do so? I don't know, it just worked out great. My worse drives weren't that bad neither. Once I needed my forehand it was there. :-) I went: 3 3 3 3 2 3 2 2 3 = -3! Of course I had omited the bad drives, but that really was a different level than I even dreamed it could be. That was about as good as my best rounds backhand! The previous round I had a Bogey on 7, now forehand I birdied it! On 8 I threw two beautiful forehand flexlines (Star Eagle, Echos- tar Teebird) through the woods and both were 5m Birdie putts, after many rounds on the course with only one single backhand Birdie on this hole! Such a strange round! :-D http://marmaro.de/discgolf/ markus schnalke
