2017-02-24 New Discs My new discs have arrived! :-) These I've ordered from infinitediscs.com, because there I could get Millenium discs as well and it's great to see exactly what you're gonna get. The package was handed in on 2017-02-14 in Utah, USA. From there it took it's way through Salt Lake City, L.A. and San Francisco to Frankfurt, Germany, where it arrived 2017-02-19. The delay since then must have been caused by the customs. They've opened the package. But, after ten days, I have the discs in my hand ... and have already thrown them today. I've ordered two throwing putters and four fairway drivers: - Discmania S-Line P2, 171g - Latitude64 Opto Pure, 174g - Innova DX Leopard, 167g - Innova Star Teebird, 158g - Millenium Quantum JLS, 165g - Millenium Quantum JLS, 170g The P2 is exactly the same as my two putting putters, just in S- Line plastic for throwing. The throws today were exactly as with the D-Line P2. This is what I wanted. I've read, heard and seen so much of the Pure that I wanted to give it a try, just to see how it is. After this first day, I'd say that it doesn't add much to my P2. The Pure is more under- stable, but that's about it. At the moment I'd say that I don't need it, as the P2 covers it all for me. But that might only be a first impression. (Besides, it's such a beautiful disc!) The Leo and Teebird are the result of my search for an easier to throw variant of my 175g Champ Teebird. [0] They both provide what I've wanted. They fly far and straight already with less power than the Champ Teebird needs for such flight lines. The Leo shows the same flight pattern as my Comet, which is no surprise. The two QJLS have a flight line somewhere between the Leo and the Teebird. I'm not as used to that flight line, but it is appealing on first sight. I'm curious to explore it more. I went with all of my discs, except the putting putters, (11 discs) to the sports pitch. I threw with a slight tailwind from the left and slightly uphill, because the pitch is not fully on level. I did not care to remember the distances of all discs, but here are some: The P2 felt more natural than the Pure to me, probably because I have already experience with that mold. I flew an overstable line, which I'm more used to. The slightly understable Pure's line was a bit difficult to getting used to. That might be dif- ferent on a really calm day. The P2 usually went a bit farther than the Pure. There isn't much to write about the midranges. I did not care for them at all today, I just threw them as well. The Buzzz got the most distance amoung them today. The Aero (which is more of a mi- drange than a putter) flew surprisingly well today. (It's like this disc would have it's own character. No other disc acts so different for day to day as my Aero.) I threw with few power and got some really straight flights out of it. I had no problems reaching 70m with my now five fairways. I even managed to go farther. Farthest went the Leo and the Champ Tee- bird: all over the pitch, up to the embarkment -- 85m! Again five meters more. :-) My focus today lay on smoothness, no vertical movement, and some X-steps ... ah, and nose down, as always. It was all fine. I see my form improve. It's always the same pattern: Maximize distance through power, then achieve the same distance with technique. It is important to go smooth ... so much better for the body ... and it allows for the same distance!
