Wie kann so wenig so viel sagen?! Wie kann ein  kleines  bisschen
Nichts so grosse Wellen schlagen?! Wie kann man so sehr von einem
kleinen Zeichen abhaengig sein?!


Emotionale Verletzungen  veroeden  die  Gefuehlsfaehigkeit.   Mit
jedem  Schmerz schuetzt man sich ein Stueck mehr dagegen ihn noch
einmal so schlimm empfinden zu muessen.  Man  kappt  die  Empfin-
dungen,  man schuettet Waelle auf und baut Mauern.  Eine traurige
Entwicklung, aber wenigstens ein  Schutz  gegen  die  schlimmsten
Verwuestungen.  --  Nie mehr diesen zerreissenden Schmerz spueren
muessen! ... auch wenn man dadurch nach und  nach  verdoerrt.  Es
tut wenigstens nicht mehr so schlimm weh.

     Till the roof begins to crumble and the rain comes pouring in
     And you sit there in the rubble, till the rubble feels like home
